Pushpanjali is an offering of flowers to Indian Gods with folded hands. In Sanskrit, pushpa means “flower” and anjali means “offering with folded hands”. This piece depicts the offering of flowers to lord Ganesha.
June Dhar is from Coral Springs, FL. She’s been studying Bharatnatyam from the age of 12, under the guidance of Dr. Neha Shah at the Nitryanjali School of Dance. She is currently studying Odissi at the Shibarjani School of Dance, under Priyadarshini Roy’s direction. For June, dancing is equivalent to breathing fresh air, while performing on stage feeds her creative soul.
